BastCare privacy

Your data. Your call.

Here's how BastCare handles your data, in plain words.

Do you sell my data?

No. We never sell your data or use it for ads. A few named providers help run BastCare, each with one job. See the provider list.

Do you train AI on my data?

No. We build AI that our customers own. We don't train models on what you do in the app.

How long do you keep it?

Audio is deleted once the summary is saved. Bast's servers don't save the transcript. Summaries belong to the user. They stay on your phone until you delete them. We keep only basic technical data that holds no visit content.

What happens when I delete my account?

Your account, your shared summaries, and your CareTeam access are removed from our servers, and BastCare is cleared from your phone. Delete your account anytime in Settings.

What can the app access?

Your microphone and speech recognition, only with your permission. Recording starts once everyone in the room agrees. Your transcripts, summaries, and keys stay on your phone.

Who can read my visits?

You, and the people you choose. Shared summaries are locked with a key that lives on your phone, so even Bast can't open them.

What if Bast is acquired or closes?

Your visits stay private. Bast never holds anything readable from your visits, and no one, including any new owner, can open your summaries without your key.

Is health information protected?

Yes. Names are masked before a transcript is summarized, and our servers never log diagnoses or medications. Your health information belongs to you.

Can kids use BastCare?

Yes. BastCare is safe for kids. A child's doctor visit should include an adult.

How do I turn things off?

Right from your phone. Stop sharing a summary, delete a visit, or delete your account in Settings. Need help? Email community@bast.ai.

Have you had a breach?

No. Bast has never had a data breach. If one ever affects you, we'll tell you directly and quickly.
