1. Using BastCare
BastCare helps organize and communicate information from a visit. Your use of the iOS app is also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. You may use BastCare only where permitted by law and these notices.
2. Permission to record
You must ask every person present before each recording and record only after everyone agrees. Laws differ by location. BastCare’s consent screen does not replace your responsibility to follow applicable recording and privacy law.
3. Not medical care
BastCare is not a medical device, medical advice, an emergency service, or a medical record system. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, predict, or recommend care. Confirm health questions with a qualified professional. Do not use BastCare for emergencies.
4. Your account
Keep your sign-in and device secure. Do not share credentials or invitation secrets. Tell support promptly if you believe someone accessed your account without permission.
5. Your content and sharing
You keep your rights in content you provide. You permit Bast to process it only as needed to provide the feature you request. The original transcript stays on your iPhone until you delete the visit and can be used to regenerate its summary. Sharing is optional, scoped to your chosen CareTeam, and revocable. BastCare cannot recall transcripts or summaries you download, save, or send outside the app.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use BastCare unlawfully; record without required permission; impersonate someone; probe or disrupt the service; upload malicious material; violate another person’s rights; or use the app to provide automated clinical decisions.
7. Availability and BastCare Plus
Bast may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We will give notice when reasonably possible for material changes. BastCare is free to download and includes the first two recorded hours. BastCare Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription that continues access to eligible features after the included hours. Available plans, price, renewal period, and purchase terms appear in the app before purchase. Manage or cancel through your Apple account.
8. Privacy and deletion
The BastCare Privacy Policy explains data handling. The account-deletion page explains how to delete an account and what deletion removes.
9. Contact and changes
Material changes receive a new version and effective date. Questions may be sent to community@bast.ai.
